Terms of Service

1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the BuildVault platform and website. By using BuildVault, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Platform role
BuildVault Ltd provides technology that facilitates protected payments, milestone verification, and project communication between homeowners and contractors. BuildVault Ltd is not a party to construction contracts and is not a bank, lender, or authorised credit institution.
3. Payment services
Payment services, money custody, and settlement are provided by FCA-regulated payment institution partners. BuildVault Ltd does not hold client funds directly. All payment activity is subject to the partner's terms and applicable regulations.
4. User obligations
Users must provide accurate information, comply with applicable laws, and use the platform in good faith. Contractors must deliver work in accordance with agreed contracts. Homeowners must fund milestones as agreed and release payments promptly after verification.
5. Disputes
BuildVault provides a structured dispute resolution framework to help parties resolve conflicts before legal escalation. Use of the dispute framework does not affect any statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law, and either party remains free to seek legal remedies.
6. Limitation of liability
BuildVault Ltd's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law and does not include losses arising from construction defects, contractor insolvency, or disputes between users that are outside BuildVault's reasonable control.
