Compliance
How BuildVault is designed to meet UK regulatory expectations.
Platform notice
BuildVault is a technology platform. Payment escrow, processing, and custody services are provided through FCA-authorised Payment Service Providers and E-Money Institutions. BuildVault Ltd does not directly operate as a bank or authorised credit institution.
Safeguarded client funds
Customer deposits are held in dedicated, segregated accounts with FCA-authorised Payment Institutions (PSPs). Funds are safeguarded under the Payment Services Regulations and are kept completely separate from BuildVault's operational assets.
KYC / AML
Identity verification is performed on every party. We conduct PEP and sanctions screening at onboarding and on an ongoing basis. Enhanced due diligence is applied where required.
Consumer protection
BuildVault is designed around UK consumer-protection norms, including clear milestone sign-off, transparent dispute resolution, and the preservation of statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Audit-grade ledger
Every movement of funds is timestamped, signed, and exportable. The platform is designed for regulatory disclosure and transparent reconciliation.
Regulatory roadmap
Direct FCA authorisation / EMD Agent registration is targeted for Q4 2026. Until then, payment services are provided by regulated partners under existing authorisations.
